DVD Recorder repairs

    I need someone to have a look at what I think is a minor problem with a dvd recorder.
    Ballindine to Castlebar area.

    Can you describe the issue, model number etc?
    The people in here should be able to help with initial diagnosis.

    You can try googling general electrical repairs locally and ask if they do DVD recorders too?
    Maybe sales places can help?

    Tevion (aldi), Model:TDRDVD4001.

    Problem seems quite simple.
    Output to TV has gone on the blink. When switched on the picture appears on the TV for a split second then no signal. I've tried the obvious of using a known good scart lead but nothing.
    Still records ok as I have recorded on it then played back on another recorder.
    It is just the output that's the trouble.

    Any help appreciated.

    Should have added that most repairers don't want to know as the time needed to locate a fault often outweights the value of the machine. I know this because my Brother, in England, has a repair business. He said he would help if I send it to him!!!.

    I'm fairly sure Aldi has a 3 year warranty on their electrical stuff.
    You have the receipt still?

    If you like I can move this to HE recorders forum for attention over there?

    Yes Aldi do have a 3 year warranty and I keep receipts, but mine has run out. By just over 7 months. Always the way.

    Feel free to move or copy this to wherever you think best.
