Basically, my box is broken and I've been out of contract for months - I know if I cancel and try to sign up again in my name it won't work so..

Will it work if I sign up in my partners name at the same address, or is the house address blacklisted?

    thanks

I mean that I signed up for a 12 month contract but that period has since lapsed, I'm still with them but -

If I ring up and cancel today is it automatic, and can I sign back up again tomorrow?

ring them up and cancel , they will ask why when you tell them the box is broken they will prob tell you its €100 for call out ,
if you say you still want to cancel they will prob do a swap for free.

with there new signup offers it may make more sense to genuinely cancel and re sign up if that's possible?

    Hi,

Yeah I did this. I cancelled my account as my box broke and then signed up in my partners name, works no bother at all. plus you get the new HD plus box now as standard which is a bonus! :)
