Trying to find size 9 ivory peeptoe wedding shoes with 1 1/2 - 2 inch heel for November wedding.

Any suggestions - am based in Dublin but can travel as finding it much more difficult than I had realised.

    All suggestions welcome.

I found wedding shoe shopping a nightmare. Took me ages to find what I wanted. I also found that most shoes were SKY HIGH!!! Don't stick to the normal wedding shoe shops. I would recommend checking out Clery's, Debenham's, Schuh (that's where I got mine, they were like Mary Jane style, peach suede with a champagne flower on them, about 3" high), Clarkes and even some of the high street shoe shops in town on Grafton Street and Henry Street. You could also considering ordering online, Barratts in the UK have a great selection of stuff (alas the Barratts in Ireland is cr*p).

EDIT: Have found ivory peeptoe shoes on Barratts UK site, about 2 inch heel by the looks of it. http://www.barratts.co.uk/en/dolcis-satin-sandal-with-knot-trim-207709 If you can't get your size in the online ordering, try ringing them and they might order it in for you.

    I had the same problem.
Searched in Dublin to no avail
Ordered my shoes online here size 10.
    http://www.girlsofelegance.co.uk/acatalog/Size-9-10-Wedding-Shoes.html
Only issue I had was that it on the box it said "Size 10/Eur 43. Eur 43 is only about a 9.5 and not a size 10 and so they didnt fit properly. As there was no size 11s on this site , i couldnt re order another pair.

    But I found this page.
    http://www.large-size-designer-shoes.co.uk/Large_Size_Ladies_Shoes_Designers/
She is based in Dundalk and she might be able to order something in your size. I managed to get an ivory pair off her, and dyed them white to match my dress.

    Hi,

I'm getting married in 8 weeks and i'm going to sale in hotel in blanchardstown shopping centre tomorrow, the girl running it has bridal shoes for 25€ and i'm a size 9, it's on tomorrow. I've tried everywhere to get a pair of 'nice' shoes but am treated like a freak everywhere i go when i ask for size 9.

Ladies - thanks for all the replies. I have pretty much tried all the Dublin shops so at this stage am gong to order on-line so thanks Suzieled for these sites. I am comforted by the fact that I am not alone. So far shoe shopping has been the thorn in my side. All other wedding tasks seem so much easier !! To be a size 6 !!!!

    Hi there,

I have size nine, narrow feet, and am 6 foot so generally want mid-low heel shoes.

I have had many traumatic shoe shopping experiences, and below is some of what I have learned:

Good links to large shoe websites worldwide (have never used these, but looks good)
    http://www.andilinks.com/large-shoes.shtm
    http://www.prettybigshoes.com/site/shops/

Excellent shop in Stephens Green Shopping Centre (top floor) - Cinderella.
    See the website www.cinderellashoes.ie

Good brand - LK Bennett (the LK Bennett shops - especially in Dublin Airport T2 - are great, and Brown Thomas also stocks this brand).

Apparently Bare Foot Tess is good (US website)
    http://www.barefoottess.com/

Good shop in Kerry, has some styles in size 9 (narrow, pretty shoes too!) - located opposite Quills in the centre of the town (recently moved) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Whos-4-Shoes/130018613721686

    Barratts online big shoe boutique:
    http://www.bigshoeboutique.co.uk/

Cinders on Wicklow Street, Dublin used to have good shoes in large sizes now and again.

For bridesmaid duties I ordered neutral coloured shoes from bridal shop on Wicklow Street and got them dyed purple - sometimes it has to come to that!
