Wheel centres

    Hi there,

I'm looking at changing the wheels on my x5 and have seen a nice set. However they have landrover centres.

Does any one know if it is possible to change the wheel centres?

I know BMW owned landrover (or visa versa) when the x5 first came out and they share lids if components including the landroveresk tail gate but not sure if the hubs ect would be the same to allow me to swap the wheel centres... Any help would be amazing... Maybe even a pointer to where I could get centres that would do the job?

    Many thanks in advance

    GD

The centre bore (hole in the middle) is the same size as is the stud pattern. If its simple small logo badges it might work.
If It's a plate that covers the wheel nuts it'll be harder

I know they BMW ones pop out but not sure of the size vs rangerover ones... I guess it is a try it and see

You're talking about "centre caps" you may be able to swap over some BMW centre caps but you'd really have to just try it, different ones sometimes have different ways of fitting and different sizes. The wheels themselves will only fit if they're off a landrover than has the smaller, narrower stud pattern shared with bmw cars (as opposed to the huge widely spaced ones)

    Make : BMW
    Model : X5
    Year : 00>
    PCD : 5x120
    Offset : 30 to 50
    Bore : 72.6

    Land Rover
    Model : Range Rover Sport
    Year : 05>
    PCD : 5x120
    Offset : 30 to 50
    Bore : 72.6

They should indeed fit, for small centre caps like that it should be easy to get blank centre caps and then BMW stickers for the centre cap if not actual BMW badged centre caps.

A good alloy wheel retailer should be able to sort you out no bother with suitable caps :)

They'll go on the car, as for having bmw badges on the centrecaps, what roverjames said is most likely solution, but the centrecaps are only a small issue, you could work around it. You can usually buy stick on badges for alloy wheel centrecaps on ebay, whether the space where they sit on the rangrover wheel is big/small enough though is another matter though i'd imagine both will be somewhere around 60mm

OP I'd make sure those wheels are straight, they were only available on the HSE's, and they're a very expensive wheel to buy outright from Landrover, €300 is oddly cheap.

My favourite set of wheels on the Sport, I'd be curious to see them on the X5 if you do buy them :)
