The Journal seems quite good. I've just recently started looking at it but I already find that it is updated much quicker than the Irish Times website and much better laid out with a all the news and a mixture of interesting articles.

the guys who own boards also own thejournal which is a good reliable news source.

    and for your smartphone: http://www.distilledmedia.ie/mobile/

It's good for news because it's different to other online sources. I find the times to be too long-winded for news on the web (fine on paper though), the Indo is just tripe, and other news sources are too simple.

I can only describe theJournal as giving interesting information in appropriate-sized chunks. And they make it convenient for the reader by posting youtube videos or other source links at the bottom of their articles.

I use my DeLorean and get the Irish Press every day.

The Journal can be handy but they really just nick everyone else's work. Rte.ie and breakingnews.ie usually do it for me.

I don't watch, read or listen to any news. I like to remain blissfully ignorant of the world falling apart around me. Besides, if it's really important there'll be 15 threads about it on here within minutes anyway.

I prefer to make the news rather than get it.

I've actually stopped following the news, it's all cráp and I've never been so jaded about current affairs before.

The Journal is sh!te just rehashed stuff the authors put forward as their own. Not only that time and time again I have noticed that stories are very inaccurate particularly in relation to stories about events in the north. Simple factual errors, they put me right off as anyone with a semi understanding of what they were writing about would not get them that wrong.

Newspaper wise these days if I read any it will be the Irish News.

I use a combination of websites. I'll start off with RTE, then BBC, then I will consult twitter for some news links from UTV. Then I will check politics.ie for political news. Then Irishrepublican.net and the Belfast Telegraph site. Then boards.

I like to keep up to date and luckily I read very fast.

I read the Independant, Breakingnews.ie, broadsheet.ie & Bray People online.

I'm very very far away with slow interweb access, so any home news is a treat.. even if it is the fact that Baldy Paddy has been arrested again.:pac:
