    National acquaintance day.

    The card is addressed to "Dear New Best Friend".

    You give it to the one of those people that you know who they are but you're not on speaking/hello-ing terms with them. Yet. You wait for the most awkward moment, eg. in a lift together. You wait until that point where you've ignored their presence for long enough that you've forfeited the opportunity to introduce yourself, and then BAM! Serve them with an affectionately worded card/poem/cash prize combo.

    Of course, this could easily be seen as a really nice gesture, so for this day to stay as creepy as possible, it has to move around each year, and stay relatively unheard of. So I guess the best way to do that would be for the card giver to murder the card receiver upon delivery. That way the givers can keep their activities, and hence the holiday, secret.
