Forwarding college email to Gmail?

    Hi there, I want to forward by college email (which is powered by Gmail, but is an '@tcd.ie' address) to my personal Gmail account, but it won't let me. Can anybody help?

    By "powered by Gmail" are you already receiving college mails to your gmail account as all gmail accounts would be "@gmail.com".

    Have you tried to set up a filter with the parameters being any message coming in with the address of *@tcd.ie (asterisk is a wildcard and is needed here) that you can forward it to your personal address.

    Powered by gmail means they provide a gmail service but you get your own domain (@tcd.ie)

    OP, how are you trying to forward? and what does it say when it stops you

    I am going to the 'Import Mail' part of Mail Settings. It keeps saying that it can't connect to mail.tcd.ie, and I'm wondering if this 'Pop 3' thing has anything to do with it?

    Thought I was good with technology; clearly not :(

    They probably don't have pop enabled on the tcd system.

    You will need to login to your tcd email and you can setup a rule to forward all mail to your personal email.

    I've them both coming in on my phone so i don't mind, but this powered by gmail thing is ****e as you need to switch accounts when trying to use google services or check your TCD email.
