have been mulling over ideas for planning and was hoping someone could advise on the following for limerick coco rural cottage extesion

Would a 30° roof pitch be considered an unacceptable deviation from the guidelines and can the width of the building span greater then 5.5m. Or are both these aspects directly related to the original building

Hope you can make sense of this - ihope its in the right place

    Any1's thought appreicated

its not that simple, by the sounds of it you've seen the rural guidelines:)
the pitch would look best if it matched the original house as would the scale, BUT there are ways & means of getting the space you want.. imho get an architect or arch tech to advise you. you could alway design something contemporary, which can look great if done correctly..
