    Hi All,

I was wondering has anyone used this? I just started today after seeing it on Lifehacker & xkcd, and I am unsure of what to make of it. It seems to be a way of collating all your exercise, regardless of the type, and then awarding points towards based on reps or duration or whatever.

They also have "Quests", which are tasks or challenges, that you can set as goals for yourself. One quibble with that is that they start off at a relatively basic level (1 mile jog, a few squats, etc etc) and I don't know if you need to complete them before you move on.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone had used it, or what their views were. Personally, I think that until it is automated (at least for runs and cycles) then it may be more hassle than it is worth

    Still waiting on one!

How does it work? I presume you just enter in your exercise manually? Surely people can just enter in 50 billion situps for infinite points?

P.S. I wouldn't mind an invite to try it out!

I'm using it. I find it ok but not great. But it's still in beta and improving all the time, so I'll stick with it for a while.

My main quibbles with it are that it's still quite gym focussed so it's missing a lot of sports, and that some activities earn too many points and some too few. The interface still needs work too imo. But all improving gradually... being able to log intervals for running etc is in the works and that'll help.

A lot of the basic quests do unlock more difficult ones as you complete them.

There's doesn't seem to be a huge amount of cheating going on, but yeah, there's nothing to stop a person logging stuff they haven't done.

Just remembered I have an account for this.. I can't even recall how I got a key. Do all accounts have the ability to give out invites, or is it only those who've been used?

I use it and I think it's great idea.

Re. automation, it can import your activities from runkeeper, and some other sites or apps can export to runkeeper, so it can be used as a link.

Logging exercises - I use it mainly for tracking purpose, not for points, but it's nice to see some extra "reward" ;)

But I think the main benefit of the site are groups, and following people. It's a great source of advices and I've learned a lot that way.
