    Hi all.
I may be flying to Oman with work in October, and before I commit to it, I am just wondering if it would affect me getting into the US, where I travel sometimes with work and will be going on vacation next year, or if there are any issues with safety in Oman?

I know this topic might be sensitive for some people, so I apologise if my questions offend anyone.

    Thx

Hi Op. I have lived in the Middle East for years so in answer to your question, no there will be no problem going to and from the states. Oman is a lovely part of the world - you will love it.

I hear nothing but good things about Oman from the brother who is a frequent vistor there, and he has never had any hassle with the US over Oman stamps in his passport .

I have been over and back from the states to Oman and Qatar and have had no problems whatsoever. Great country, great people and a real flavour of the Middle East unlike the UAE. I take it you'll be working in Muscat, which is the most 'Western' of cities in the Sultanate. Enjoy!
