I sometimes use a widgeon call, and inhale through it instead of blowing. This makes a noise like a mouse squeak. I also pressed the wrong button on the ucaller one night and hit the magpie chatter, this actually brought in a fox. I only use the vixen call during the mating season, but I find it only works so so

Did you ever try using your hand?-the other two calls i use most are the squeaker out of a squeaky toy and a hand made one made out of lollipop sticks. dont be afraid to change calls if you hes not coming in for one. ive often been calling with one and as soon as i changed hed come running in straight away. another thing id say is if you keep going to the same spot using the same light and the same caller-you've very little chance of getting him in. even if you change caller hes still going to be wary. id also just say that ive come up against foxes that will just not come into anything-most likely because they were probably shot at once. a small tip then - bait an area where you can set up for a safe shot with rabbits tied down to something. do it for a couple of days before you go out to shoot him. the rabbit tied down will keep him there for a few minutes. and if you want to go crazy and want to know roughly what time hes going to be there then tape an alarm clock to a steak and tie one end of string onto the rabbit and the other around the batteries so when he runs off with the rabbit hell pull out the batteries and you will know what time it happened at:D they are creatures of habit and i can almost guarantee that it would be within 15 mins either side of that time that you will get him-just make sure you tie the rabbit down the night you want to shoot him.
    best of luck

Hunting calls, just do a search Of FREE hunting calls.

I never pay for anything if I can get away with it ;)

It has a lot of calls of no use, but has crow and fox calls

In my experience in boggy areas a hare call is more usefull as the fox may never have seen a rabbit in the wild as there are no rabbits in the bogs around me, only hares

i always use my hand and it has rarely failed an i never forget it and the batteries never go dead.you can make so many different calls by sucking on the back of your hand you wouldn't believe.it just takes a bit of practice.
