The higher the mAH in a battery, the bigger it will be. A 9.6V 2'000mAH battery may not fit in a A.P.S. ASR103 handguard, due to the length and width of it. I'll give you a example at the bottom of this of what will fit and not fit.

    MY OPINION:
If you do want a 9.6V 2'000mAH battery in your A.P.S. ASR103, you should try and get a PEQ Box, so you'll be able to hold a 9.6V 2'000mAH battery, and that you don't have to keep opening the lower R.I.S.
