Just wondering, how much points do you get for Applied Maths?
Is it 100 the same as every subject or less becuase it is a extra subject.

100 points. Same as other subjects.

You asked this in another thread, so I'll close this one.

It's the same points as for every other subject, except honours maths, which from 2012 onwards will have 25 extra points.

Your top 6 subjects are counted for points purposes. So, for example, if you get 6 A1s and a B1 doing all-honours, you'll still have 600 points as only the 6 A1s will be counted. Another example is if you have 5 A1s, an A2 and a B1, you'll have 590 points as the 5 A1s and the A2 will be counted, but not the B1.

All this is explained in the CAO handbook, which you can find at www.cao.ie

    Good luck! :)
