The 411Mania Hot or Not Thread

Hi everyone, Jay recomended that I open a thread for these instead of posting in off topic every week. In case you don't know, every Sunday I have a column on 411mania called The Wrestling Hot or Not, were I look at 5 things I liked from the week and 5 things I didn't. I also throw in random bits every once in awhile like The Random Piece in The Middle and European You Need To Know. I started it 7 weeks ago and it's doing really well, but I'd love some feedback from you all because I repsect your opions more than any other wrestling message board!

I have to disagree with you on Flair/Sting. If you do it it has to be in the main event. It's silly to do it any other way. Plus they more than made up for it with Roode by devoting over 20-25 minutes of the programme putting him over, and it's only the first show on the road to BFG not the go-home so there's plenty of time for Roode. Great article by the way.:)

I dunno, I think it could have been put forward that it could have been in the middle, or even the second last match, and you have Hogan say that he wanted to get the match out of the way, because he wanted to make sure Roode had the full attention of Immortal. That alone would have really helped put Roode over.

But ,TBH, it was a slow week for things that pissed me off, and I have a ban on Matt Hardy in my pieces, so I struggled to come up with five things, so it didn't actually annoy me that much

Cool stuff man. Which wrestlers would u book to feud with Aries over the title?

ROH have some great stuff, I don't have any kind of regular access to it (or buddies willing to watch it) so it falls by the wayside. How's Steen doing in his role?

Are you a big fan of Joey Ryan and Karl Anderson? I've seen the latter's work in NJPW and i'm not a fan Yeah this Revolution, best of luck, but i can't see it panning out. I hope i'm 100% wrong and it's a huge success.

I too am quite disenchanted with CM Punk's performances -- not that he's not doing the absolute best he can -- but just it's completely wasted, along with the Russo-riffic "shoot every week" creedo. That and the vast majority of this week's go-home promo with HHH & Punk was not selling me on the match. Although Trips did a lot of pandering in his promo (start listing off main event babyfaces as a retort) he did "win" the promo battle. But feck me if shoot promos every week isn't a sure-fire way to kill interest.

Just wondering TSC, how come this show departs from Dirtsheet Dave? When you got picked up a few months ago I assumed you'd be doing DD on 411?

I'd have him avoid Kendrick and Shelly and get him to feud with Kaz. That way you have four guys fighting over the title and building make up its importance. Aries can beat all comers with dirty tactics, making Daniels get annoyed with him and challenging him to bring honor back to the belt.

Steen has been kicking ass lately. You could say he is doing what CM Punk should be doing and probably would be doing if they still had him off TV. After the show last night he did this promo which was ****ing brilliant:

Joey is easily one of the best guys not in the WWE or TNA right. It boils by blood still at how much ROH ****ed him up during his "run" with the company. These promos were awesome and he could have been something special:

So thank God he is getting a shot with the group. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of Karl, I like him, and I think he will fit into Pro Wrestling Revolution perfectly as a mid carder.
