Transferring Euro Deposits to Sterling / Other

This is probably being asked ad nauseum on here given the current situation in Europe but surprisingly, any recent posts seem to be asking the opposite.

For anyone that might be working in the banking sector, is this becoming a common trend (moving euro deposits to non euro districts)? I am considering this as an option but is it being overly cautious? Can you move a euro deposit to an Irish bank's branch in the UK without much difficulty?

I have this terrible fear that I'll wake up some morning to the news that the euro has collapsed and my savings are worthless!
