1GB is plenty for Facebook, Email, and casual web browsing.

I have a 250mb limit (a quarter of what you have) and Iv only gone over it once and that's when I was using the radio a lot over the 3G. If you have wifi in the house you'l only be using up your mb's when out and about and with just checking emails, facebook and a bit of web browsing you'l never come close to 1GB, even if you don't have wifi in the house unless your using something like the radio apps you'l hardly come close to 1GB.

The only thing that would really eat into your data is watching YouTube videos. I've the 1GB plan and I've reached my limit before just once from forgetting and watching too many videos.

I just done 1.3GB over 3G in the past month without the likes of YouTube or Skype etc.

My highest ever usage over 3G but thats prob because I lost all my apps and had to download again with no wifi available.

I suppose it depends on what you do - if you take, send and receive a lot of photos etc thru the likes of whatsapp, jotnot etc you could easily break 1GB.

The Mailonline app on iPad for instance can require between 80-150mb a day.

For the stuff you are talking about though (check my email and log into facebook and a couple of other sites,ie boards) 1GB will be plenty.
