    Hi all,

    I have started a course in computer science and need a decent laptop to go with it! Have my eye on this laptop. The Lenovo G570 with second gen i3 processor and 4g RAM.

    I won't be playing games on it I just need something that will run dreamweaver, CSS, Flash etc and also music recording programs like GuitarRig 4 and Cubase AI4. I will also be using it to stream movies.

    Would this laptop do? Are Lenovo a good brand? I know this is a budget laptop but seems like good kit for the price.

    As long as none of those programs are graphic intensive it'll do fine.

    I got that laptop about two months ago. I'm pretty happy with it. I can't speak for those programs, I'm not sure how graphics intensive they are. I'm running a few fairly cpu intensive applications, matlab, 3d comsol modelling, ansys. They have run perfect. It handles any video files (divx mkv etc perfect). It feels like a really good build, especially for the price. Keyboard is easy to type on, touchpad can be a little sticky now and again, but grand most of the time.
