what to wear with this dress

    Ive a wedding in a few weeks- thinking of wearing this, will need something to cover my shoulders or ill freeze to death!

    Also thinking maybe something on my head, hair up?

    And of course shoes................

    Any thoughts?

    I would go for a pink court type shoe... I had a quick search online but cant find what I have in my head! Penneys have lovely 'colour block' shoes I think would be lovely in pink... I'm a fan of closed toe shoes for any wedding.occassion that isnt in the summer!

    A navy bolero/short fitted cardi/large pashmina/scarf would be lovely!

    I don't think you should be too 'matchy matchy' with the accessories, tha'ts why I say navy for the top (this I am basing on me thinking it looks navy and not black? bad computer!) and pink shoes!

    For me, my rule of thumb would be if its a strapless dress, hair down but if it has straps, hair up! Course that theory often gets thrown out the window depending :)

    It does look a bit navy in the pic, but it is black. I had thought closed toe shoes but cant for the life of me find anything decent that isnt a huge platform, Im ok in heels but not 5inch skyscrapers...

    that's a gorgeous dress, I think it would be nice with a pair of nude coloured heels and a statement necklace or bracelet in gold perhaps? although it's such a goregous piece in itself it'll look fab once you keep it fairly simple!:)

    * thought the dress was navy! my bad! reeeally vivid screen! black platfroms would look grogeous! New Look are usually good and I actually got a pair of high black platforms in Penneys there 2 days ago for e21:00! they're suprisingly easy to walk in as well!:P and I'd say to definitely wear your hair down, i'd be very careful with a hair piece 'cause I think the dress is so striking on its own, and a black pashmina:)

    My ideal outfit to go with this would be black heels, they're easy find, fabric shoes, not shiny and not a pointy toe and then a white half cardi to break it, then if you have something in your hair, maybe a black and pink flower? something like that, you could buy something easy to put in your hair in penneys.
