Great minds. Was just about to post that. I've heard boots are taking it over. Anyone heard the same?

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh!

I am gutted to hear this.

Winstons in Bray is just the kind of shop one needs in boom times or a recession.

We have been shopping there since the Year Dot. (well it feels like that. Have been in Bray over twenty years)

I often felt like saying to the chap I reckon must be the owner

'Thanks, I have reared my family and kept them dressed because Winstons.'

I don't know how I'd have managed otherwise.

As recently as last Saturday I went in and stocked up and as always was

    pleasantly surprised at the cost.

Lovely, lovely, helpful and friendly staff in there too.

    Boots!!! no use to me.

Good value make up shop at corner already.

Shocking news. The town is going to turn into a ghost town at this rate.

Remarkably this was quoted, verbatim, in this week's Bray People, and attributed to "a shopper who had just left the sale"

    Well spotted BrayBlue.

I noticed this too ... and I haven't even been into the sale yet!

Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read in the paper.

Shame though that Winstons is closing :(

Everyone I've been talking to has heard this so I think so

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Especially since a lot of stuff in boots is much more expensive than the local pharmacies!! I saw a suncream in boots for €11.99 and the same one in a local place of €2.50:eek: And is just for starters.

I wont be shopping there anyway!

You should check out Wexford town! I couldn't believe the amount down there.

There is far more than 5, a quick tot in my head makes it at least 12 and I'm sure there's probably more.
