I can only imagine that aftermarket leather seat covers costing €50 look cheap and nasty.

The link says "leather look" which is not the same as leather, it's some kind of plastic or vinyl leatherette material. Cheap and nasty feel to it I'd imagine

Thats why I'm asking, to find out. The "Xclusive" brand were lovely and comfortable but I am informed they are no longer made. I dont want any tacky sporty ones, just something that feels nice and protects the seat

Anyone have seat covers on a 06 Golf that can help at all?

Hi elkido9, did you buy the covers from Mick Garage as I was thinking of buying them also for a Mark V Golf? I called Micks Garage but they are out of stock on this item for at least 4 weeks which is a shame as I need the covers now.

No still didnt purchase. Was unsure about them so still searching for a nice set. You'd think it would be easy pick up a decent set that aren't tacky and reasonably priced

Hi elkido9, I found these also but they are "all in one" for the actual seat and back support so I wonder about how good the fit will be. http://www.easybuycarparts.ie/car-seat-cover-p-55173.html

I think I will now order the alternative colour from Micks Garage as the car is being valeted tomorrow and I want seat covers on immediately afterwards. http://www.micksgarage.ie/proddetails.aspx?pid=191282&pk=75534
