Anyone used or heard of www.granitetops.ie?

I came their across their website and their granite worktops look very reasonably priced.

It would be great if someone could vouch for the quality etc.

I can now answer my own question....

While I was very wary of dealing with a company for whom I had no real knowledge of (or personal recommendations), I went ahead and purchased a granite worktop for my new kitchen from them.

My worktop is now fitted and I really have nothing put praise for Granitetops.ie. They arrived on time for the templating and over an hour early for the actual fitting. Fitting took place 4 days after templating and was carried out by 2 foreign lads (Polish, I think). They did an excellent job and were most courteous and tidy. One of them was huge and would have been really helpful on our rugby team :D.

I hadn't really planned on getting granite for the kitchen as it was so expensive, but I reckon I saved about €1000 using this company.

I have no connection with this company whatsoever. I just want to share my experience of them.

    Hiya,
Just came across this post while looking this company up. I'm considering them myself. 5 years on from getting them, are your countertops still holding up well?

    thanks

    Hi.
    I live in Galway.
I used granite tops company to supply our kitchen worktops in 2012. We got a cream coloured Silestone quartz worktop. Their price was most competitive of all companies that I priced. They also included a bowl & half sink. Because it is an expensive aspect of the kitchen we checked our their location. It is a factory with no showroom as such. That might be different now. However they gave me contact details of someone who had used them near me that I went to check out, which was fine. Counters were measured & fitted promptly as far as I can remember! We have a large peninsula attached to main run of countertop where sink is. Counter does look good still.
However, about 3 months after it was fitted.the seal/ join between the peninsula and the rest of the counter disintegrated which is bit unsightly. The peninsula is quite large so don't know if that was cause. Anyway despite numerous calls & emails.I mean numerous over period of over a year. They did not come to repair the seal. Despite lots of promises to repair it. I gave up in the end. I'm not sure if my location was the problem. To be honest I don't notice it anymore really.
So anyway the counter is fine but maybe after service would need to be watched.good luck.

Don't know if you used granitetops.ie in the end but I'm having a bit of a nightmare with them at the moment. Just had the owner shouting down the phone at my wife. We made a big mistake going with this crowd.

Hi zac, was this resolved? I'm looking into a new worktop and had these on my shortlist of quotes I received. Would like to hear personal stories before I decide
