Apologies if posting in wrong section. Dvd player is connected to scart on sky+ hd box, previously dvd would show up on screen when turned on but not now. Hd box is replacement for standard + box, scart is enabled in settings etc so i'm obviously missing something else? Any help please.

How many scarts on TV set? Is there one for Sky, one for DVD?
Not sure if the scart on the HD box will loop through from DVD/R, if there's only one. I have similar set up, but Sky HD in scart 1 and DVD/R in scart 2

No HDMI (still using CRT!), so need scart on HD box for output to TV, and have it split to TV & DVD/R

Your HD box is connected via HDMI i'm asuming?
The HD boxes only have one Scart output and no loop thru.
You'll need to connect your DVD directly to your TV, and not into the HD box.
