Telemarketing in exchange for free calls/texts? Would you go for it?

Imagine if you could get free calls and texts for life on Vodafone or O2 or Meteor, but with the condition that they're free to give let advertisers send you texts / calls about products?
You could theoretically set up times of the day it's not allowed to bother you with them, or something to that effect.

    Would you take it?

Having initially thought of this as a great idea, I suddenly realized it would be disastrous. You would come to regard the beep of a text message or your ringtone as probably just being an ad, and therefore you'd risk ignoring it when the message was actually something important from a friend or something.

    What do people think?

The main users of such a service would be the telemarketers themselves seeing as how they would be able to send unlimited free text spam ?

5 posts into the thread, any such judgement is premature.
