GOMAD vs water

Go easy on me guys I'm a total novice but basically here goes; I'm trying to put on a decent amount of weight and tone it. At present I'm doing the GOMAD method whilst also getting in as much exercise as possible (cycling, running, weights) and have totally overhauled my diet- out went the shyte junk food and in has come 'proper' food as recommended by other posters on here. Here goes my problem- practically every health mag or website recommends an average of 4 litres of water per day for the average male but since I've been on GOMAD the sight of water is the last thing I want to see or get in to me for that matter Is it a no no to just replace the water with milk as I have been doing?

The milk will have more than enough water for you so you are fine, you could think of it like drinking water and eating dried or strongly condensed milk.

The recommended "8 glasses a day" thing was supposed to come from a hospital study saying people needed to intake X litres of water per day, this intake included moisture in your food. It was misunderstood and became translated as you need 8 glasses in addition to your food.

GOMAD is based on US gallons, which is 3.8L, just incase you were drinking imperial gallons.

rubadub that's great, thanks a million! I had never even thought of equating the milk to water considering how much water content is in milk.

Think of it as 4 litres of liquid and moisture a day. There is no reason why it can't come from sources other than water

GOMAD will make you fat unless you start off as a holocaust survivor, 2 litres a day is more than enough.
