just tried the squatting one there, I didn't pass out, just felt mildly dizzy as though I just ran up the stairs too fast from rest.

Not exactly what I'd call a high; highs really ought to involve hallucinations, sustained periods of feeling like a suspended particle of water, conversations with one's limbs and cutting ones own hair... you know, fun stuff.

Also, what's with the runner's high suggestion? That sounds like the kind of suggestion they dish out at those school retreats "hey kids, don't drop acid; get high on life!"

    cannabis

Not 90% of the **** in this country, all you get is sprayed crap most of the time which is dangerous to zee lungs.

    But in general, +1

I had the same experience on my first attempt. I've tried since and all I can remember is my vision going haywire and seeing mad colours, and then passed out on my bed. I woke up within seconds wondering what the **** had happened.
    Weird enough sensation though.

Ok Imma try again. Just going to let the cat out first. If I don't wake up from this in the next 10 minutes I don't want to turn into her survival pack of whiskas.

I think you'd have to be mental to try to induce sleep paralysis. I suffer from it frequently and it's absolutely horrible. You'll hallucinate alight, but it's disorientating at best and outright scary at worst.

I've always considered "runner's high" to be a euphemism for "being bolloxed."

We used to do the postural hypertension one back in school; called it the "American Dream." It's pretty much the same as fainting. Mainly done by first-year students who've yet to get their paws on weed.

It might be worth trying them if you're interested in altered states of conciousness, but you'll be left a bit let down if you've dabbled in the superior chemical alternatives.

EDIT: IMO, if you want to experience some "natural" trippy states, set your alarm for very early in the morning, and have it go off every 15-20 minutes thereafter. If you're anything like me, you'll have a series of very vivid (and sometimes lucid) quick-fire dreams.

Certain parts of the country are worse for the sprayed stuff than others

Ah yes the American Dream, had completely forgotten about that. Did it once when I was about 7 or 8 under the ''guidance'' of my older sister, all I remember is a Ferrari and two fellas going hell for leather in a boxing ring. Good times :D
