P45 & Final pay

    Hi, could some1 advise me if I am entitled to my p45 & final pay the day I leave (this Friday) or do I have to wait till the following weeks payrun! Thanks

    You'll probably have to await the next payrun , that seems to be the norm.

    'entitled', no, but as Delancy says, these are usually issued after your final payrun, although it does depend on your company how quick they can get to it (if they have high turnover of staff for example they might take a few weeks to get your P45 organised).

    If you need it for a new job, then the simplist thing to do is to ask your new employer for their PAYE number. Ring revenue with that number and your PPS no, tell them what date you stared on, and from that they can issue you a new statement of credits so you won't get stung for emergency tax.
