An Omega dial - genuine?

I'm wondering if Omega ever produced a watch with a dial like this:

I assumed it was a creative redial, but I'm starting to suspect it may be genuine. Does anyone have a more firm opinion?

They certainly did. Its called the "cross hair" as far as I know.
Here is a link - its not the same model but it should get you started on getting the exact details.

If it is a gen it doesn't belong in that case, no T-SWISS-T and the markers extend to underneath the rehaute.....I would say this dial should be fitted to a watch that is a shade bigger

The usual (not always) tell on a cross-hair redial is that the lines usually go through the text, dunno why, must be easier for them to paint it that way. The dial itself looks ok to me... I would nearly put my money on it.....nearly.

Well, following on from this query, and having satisfied myself that it's a genuine Omega dial (with the kind assistance of forum members, followed up by finding a photo in the Omega database), I'd like to welcome the latest addition to the family. It was rather pricey for a Seamster 600, but I really like the dial and I reckon they must be pretty rare, so with a jot of luck it may even be worth more than I paid..

The photo is the seller's. I haven't paid for it yet...;)

...and wouldn't you know it, I just got a mail from Ebay cancelling the whole thing and the listings have been deleted. Can't find the buyer's account to mail him or anything. I reckon the guy was done for some manner of fraud, because he had zero feedback yet and was listing about 7 or 8 nice vintage watches that could plausibly have come from a collection, average value of about 300-400. I was going to organise payment face to face, or give it a skip as the guy claimed to be based in the city where I work. If he couldn't do face to face, all the alarm bells of the zero feeback would have been insurmountable.

I was also a little suspicious when he said he accepted Paypal, and then in the invoice he asked for a bank transfer with no name given, just an account number...it was only because I was a little sus that I didn't immediately pay as usual, and it looks like that might have saved me some hassle now.

I'm annoyed though - I very much liked the look of the watch and thought the price was fair. I'd love to know what the scam was, or was the mere suspicion sufficient to get him closed down.

    Bah.

if you have a bank acc. go to the bank tell then you wish to make a payment to the acc that you were given, ask the teller for the name of the holder and where the acc is held.

    Cunning. :)

I do wonder what the problem was where he ran foul of Ebay though.
