I'm a red blooded male, thats filled a filled a pram. I like man things.

But for the life of me I don't see how anyone would want to watch anything that involves Grainne Seoige.

Saw a promo for this new "Question of Sport" type show that about to start...(typical RTE, they'd have to actually pay to use the QOS format so they just rob it and change it ever so slightly)

Anyway on screen she seems to be a bit of a personality vacuum. I caught a bit of the people of the year awards and it was like watching HAL9000 give out the gongs...

She may be nice to look at but she's dull on the telly.

Yeah she's a gorgeous woman but other than that I would never watch anything with her in it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,323 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

She's not particularly attractive and her attitude makes her ever less attractive! I can't stand to watch her on anything, but RTE are paying and have paid her a lot of money so they need to stick her on some sh*te!

    She also has zero personality!

    Shes a fine Irish woman.

I know what you mean giftgrub, just has no touchy feel to her. Gives the impression that she's a talking doll. She may look goodish, but it's porcelain, or whatever, the same with the sister. Not surprised both men in their lives did a runner, can't see either lady minding the kids either. There's just nothing to them.

Don't get the fuss over her at all. Remember seeing her on afternoon show with a male counterpart a few years ago and she came across as a right pain in the neck.

How many failed vehicles has RTE developed for her elusive talents at this stage?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,323 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

She's RTE's answer to Graham Norton in that sense!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,990 ✭✭✭squonk

I'm not her biggest fan myself. I don't happen to think she's particularly good looking either. Each to their own I suppose. Even if she was stunning, she really has no personality when she's on the box. Last time I saw her was on some Lughnasa thing on RTE a while ago. The show was terrible and so was she. I did like the Gift Grub take off of her though, all they pretty much had her saying was 'Hi there" in a sultry kind of voice. Very funny! For my money her sister is better looking but I don't care enough about either of them to be bothered tbh.

Sile has more personality that's for sure, regardless of whether one likes it or not there is something to work with.

I see all of your points about Grainne and I raise you Sharon Ni Bheolain.

Take her from behind the newsdesk and start getting her to present some programs. Remember how she looked when opening the Ryder Cup.....

Go on so, here's a reminder.

I reckon when RTE finally goes HD, Sharon in particular may not come out of it too well...how many fags does she smoke anyway?

I remember Grainne from way back in NUIG. She went out with a friend of mine briefly. She was a cracker. Agree that she doesn't add much to any programmes she is involved in now.

grainne is old school , she exudes traditional glamour , is a real woman , not some stick insect , isnt a bimbo , isnt a laddette either , shes reserved but not cold , sexy but not trashy , strong but not nasty

an example of nice to look at but dull is the robotic like sharon ni bheolain

I'd prefer Sile Seoige's head on Grainne Seoige's personality.

Grainne has the boobs, the lips, the eyes and the legs. What's not to like ? I also love that sexy half lisp and the huskyish voice. I wouldn't kick her out of bed !

They probably just haven't found the 'right fit' for her yet. Although to be fair she is a bit of a charisma vaccum.

Shes looking well on RTE now, the up for match yoke.
Although having spud head Des Cahill beside her in every shot kinda ruins things.

I totally agree that she seems to have zero personality and comes across as ice cold.

But come on now, anyone who thinks she's "not a particularly good looking woman", needs their eyes examined. As Irish women in their 30s go, she's stunning.

She's certainly looking very well tonight.

she is not been used properly. She should be presenting current affairs not the fluff they have her doing.

That's it. Most Irish women turn into ugly bitches when they hit their 30s. The only good looking Irish woman over 30 is Enya.
