big up to richie McCaw , many question his legalities at game time, but you have to hand it to the man - 100 All Black caps - nice guy, certainly off the pitch

Incredible player. A lot is said about his "cheating", but you have to question the refs on that. He plays to the whistle and gets away with it most of the time. Fair play to him.

43 caps added since i first started this thread - not to mention a WC - sometimes legends aren't really really such (or perhaps they are) - but as good as BOD, Lomu, POC, Carter were - McCaw is the player I respect the most, for all he has achieved , and decent guy (of the pitch

Kinda sad he's passing out BOD but in my opinion he's the standout player of the professional era. I'm sure the rest of the world won't be overly sad he's retiring.
