upgrading usb

    Has anyone upgraded a usb connection on a toshiba s2410 504 laptop I've looked at the back but there doesn't seek to be a panel I can take off do I have to take off the whole back and is it easy to replace the usb

    On laptops the USB port is part of the motherboard. It can't be removed or upgraded.

    What are you trying to do exactly?

    I don't know your model, but you could get a PCMCIA or Expresscard USB adapter if your laptop has the appropriate socket.

    I can't use a camera for Skype on it it comes up the usb is to slow that I need a high speedusb which I don't have

    Then you might be able to add USB 2.0 ports via a PCMCIA (PC Card) adaptor as mentioned above.

    According to this the s2410 has slots for either 2 x PC Card Type II or 1 x PC Card Type III however that says s2410-603, I couldn't find s2410-504. So please research and confirm your exact model and specs.

    PC Card is now replaced by ExpressCard (which will not be compatible) so just be careful when buying to get the correct one.
