Hi All

I am currently in the early stages of building a house and have had plans drawn up for a storey and a half 1800ft house. I had intended going for block construction but then came across some of these prefabricated houses being built in Germany. The standard of construction seems very high but I have concerns about the lifespan of these houses and how well they are suited to the Irish climate (damp!) and planning problems. The cost appears to be a fraction of block building.. has anyone any experience of these houses?

Surely there cant be much difference in these and a timber frame house?
