Spinning cowl

I can't remember if I posted about this here before, but anyway. Wood pellet burner in the shed with chimney out through the roof. We had problems initially and tried a chinese hat, no good, then a spinning cowl. That worked well for about a year, then the damn thing seized up and I couldn't free it up again. Ended up getting another spinning cowl. Now the second one has begun seizing up.The problem is that smoke is damaging the rubber feeder hose for the pellets and also clogging up the feeder worm and motor. The chimney is already sticking up over a meter and a half in order to clear the roof. Any way I can safely extend this? Extremely windy site at all times. Any suggestions folks?

Foleyart, I think google will be your friend here. Have a look for cowl manufacturers with a technical department and explain your problem. Also is the exterior flue fully insulated and is there anyone in your area with a gas analyser suitable for solid fuel. The reason I say this is it sounds like your flue gases are cooking the gaskets and I would find a static cowl that was suitable.
