    Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice.
I have an interview with a fuel company who imports both coal & oil this week and was just wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers. Is there any major accounting / vat issue to be aware of.

Does anyone out there do the accounts for a similar company. I have never dealt with importation of fuel before and cannot find much specific information on the net - only the VAT rate is 13.5%.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey

Some areas you could research are carbon taxes (approx e15 per ton) - these are reclaimable in some instances eg if fuel is used in power generation , shipping costs, where they source they're fuel/coal (most likely Poland/Russia), main cutomers (domestic or business or both). Company website (if any) usually touches on these areas. No harm to ask these questions in interview if ya can't find out.
