    Hi All

I will be moving to Carrigtwohill soon and have started to look into the broadband suppliers in the area.

UPC broadband isnt avalible (their website says TV only for my address) :(

Is Eircom my only choice or are there other suppliers in the area?
if Eircom is the only supplier, is it any good? what are the speeds like?

    Cheers

check out east cork broadband - they do good wireless connections, which means you don't need the dreaded land-line with all the associated extra costs........ plus if there is a problem, which is rare, they fix it a lot faster than the bigger operators

I find Vodafone pretty good, but you will need a phone line.

    Also look at www.novanetworks.ie

dont think east cork broadband reach carrigtwohill as their masts are based on the midleton side of carrigtwohill

    Ehhhhh....no phone line required.....

    Get sorted

    Broadband
    from €25.99/m

    Add Phone Service
    for only €3.00/m
    500 FREE landline minutes on
    all packages 8M and up

    No phone line needed!

    Thanks everyone

had a look at East Cork Broadband but they dont extend far enough west of Midleton to cover Carrigtwohill.

Nova Networks looks good and with no Landline required it may be the option we will go for.

will have a look at vodaphone to but dont really want the home phone

    thanks again

Dont waste your money getting a house phone. Vodafone/Eircom broadband is only very average TBH and Vodafone have zero customer care also.

    Nova Networks: 2M 25.99euro, 4M 35.99, 8M 45.99
    Eircome: 1M 41.99euro, 8M 46.79
    Vodafone: 8M 40euro
    Airwaves: 1M 59.99

Nova, Eircome and vodafone are all around the sme price for the 8M, so not really sure which to go for, tempted by the Nova

Any nova customers out there... what are they like?
