If anyone has a good second/new cable cutters for bout 15 euro I'd be interested, pictures if you can.

Also interested in buying a workstand, if anyone has the lidl one lying about I might go for that, seems to be good enough quality for the price, if anyone has anything better throw up a pic and a price.

*Edit* Needs to be self-standing workstand, not a wall mounted or table mounted one.

P.S. could possibly be in the market for a wheel truing stand in the near future, same as above, pic and price if you have one your not using.

    Thanks.

A bit over your budget but I have one of these for years and have found it to be a great cutter!

I have these guys and whilst they do the job cutting wise, they've left the housing in a bit of a state each time. I've had to hand the houseing over to a metalwork buddy to get a smooth openings.

Dont have anything to offer but just a tip if you're just doing simple stuff and happen to have a clothes lines. I used a clothes line with an old tube used to tie the seat post to it for years. Very very handy when cleaning, even better than the stand as you can turn the bike pretty much upside down to get the area under the BB etc

in relation to cable cutters i'd recommend Gough's hardware store just off Capel St in Dublin if you're in the Dublin region that is. He really knows his stuff unlike a lot of people working in hardware stores. Got a set there recently for €20 and they are excellent. Cut cleanly and with little effort (even though little should be required).

Alternatively I'd recommend these from Jagwire: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Jagwire-WST028-cable-cutter-bicycle-tool-/320659687928
if you can find them locally.

For what it's worth, I have the X-Tools cutter from CRC. About €18.00, can't fault it butter/knife etc.

Probably wouldn't last as long as a pro one but it does me.

I think I'll go into gough's hardware and have a look walked by the shop a lot but never went in. The one's sub 20 euro on chain reactions and wiggle are sold out atm.

Pretty inventive idea but I plan on using the stand in college to repair bikes over there for some students to make myself a little extra money for college so no closeline for me;)
