Irish Rail booking with Dublin Bus Taxsaver Annual ticket

I have an annual Dublin Bus Taxsaver ticket.
On the Irishrail online booking form there is an option to avail of a Taxsaver price (for the Dublin Cork trip I am planning it's about 20 euro cheaper than the online price).
When I choose this fare, I get the following warning:

    * You have chosen a 16 - 25 Railcard/Taxsaver Loyalty ticket. To travel on this ticket you must be in possession of a valid Iarnród Éireann 16-25 Railcard or a current Annual Taxsaver ticket.
Failure to produce a valid ticket, appropriate ID or surcharge where necessary will result in a fine of €100 together with the relevant unpaid fare.
    (my emphasis)

Now, I have an Annual Taxsaver ticket, with Dublin Bus.
Knowing the zeal with which some Irishrail employees like to apply penalties, am I safe to book this fare or will they say my Annual Taxsaver ticket is not the right one (despite not saying what ones qualify) and stick me for €100+ of a fine?

I asked Irish Rail this exact question last year when I had a DB & Luas taxsaver ticket. Heuston customer service told me I'd need a rail taxsaver ticket but when I emailed the Irish Rail Taxsaver email customer care team, they said
    Subject: RE: Intercity discount

    From: "IE Taxsaver" <TAXSAVER@irishrail.ie>

    Mark,

The TaxSaver Loyalty rate is available for anyone with a TaxSaver ticket this includes this would cover any ticket with rail incorporated into the ticket or Dublin Bus Tickets. For further information on TaxSaver go to www.taxsaver.ie

When I asked for confirmation that DB tickets were fine, she said
    Mark,
TaxSaver is a brand registered to Dublin Bus and Irish Rail, it just states Annual TaxSaver ticket because it covers all Annual TaxSaver Tickets and this would include Dublin Bus & Luas Tickets

I travelled several times with a Railsaver ticket and my DB/Luas ticket and the RPU staff had no problem with it. I wasn't confident either though so I had a printout of their email with me just in case :)

Guys, I checked that- it's an offer for tax saver holders:

Just to report I had no problems with my jaunt to Cork. I was asked for my Taxsaver ticket a couple of times and got my return to Cork for €51 instead of €71.
This could do with being publicised a bit more.

Yeah it's definitely made difficult to find. I only copped it by accident a few months ago. Though usually I only travel inter-city if I can get the €20 or less trips so it's only if it's a last minute decision to go by train that it's useful for me.

It's worth noting that you can buy a taxsaver ticket at booking offices as well as online.
