Wes Hoolahan came on for the last quarter and was excellent.

Clever 1-2's and linking play and works hard in defence too.

Different class from Andrews and Whelan anyways. Lets hope Tardelli takes notice.

Shane Long did well too for West Brom. Won a lot of headers and was a willing runner.

Hope to see him brought into the squad, he looks tidy.

Might have been looking at Steven Reid (said he would come back if needed), Kyle Naughton and Marc Tierney too. It's about time Trapattoni added decent players to the Irish squad. If we're going to qualify and do well at tournaments then we need the best squad we can have.

He deserves a call up to squad. He ain't going to have any serious impact though in all fairness, he might do okay but not a first 11 no matter what formation we play .

Comparing him to Andrews and Whelan ain't what Trap will do as he's a player who does an attacking job, they are both holding midfielders.

Wud agree with anyone who thinks he should make the squad but not the first 11.

I doubt Tardelli was there to see him inparticular more to do with volume of Irish players on show
