Wexford -> Cork Via Clonmel

Hi I'm going to be bus-ing back to Cork for college this sunday and from using the route planner I'll be going:
    Station DEP. ARR. Route. DIR.
    Wexford (O'Hanrahan Stn) 17:20 40 Direction: Waterford
    Waterford (Bus Station) 18:20
Waterford (Bus Station) 18:30 55 Direction: Limerick
    Clonmel (Rail Station) 19:25
Clonmel (Rail Station) 19:45 07 Direction: Cork IT
    Cork IT 22:05

So according to the route planner the 07 Dublin->Cork route goes to Cork IT, but the timetable has Cork(Parnell Place) as the final stop. Does anyone know if it actually does go to cork IT?

Thats madness. No need for Limerick.
You get the bus to Waterford.
Then get the 40 bus from Waterford straight to Cork. Depending on the bus (s)he might keep going to UCC/CIT. Otherwise grab the number 8 bus in Cork city to get there.

The Bus Eireann journey planner is a disaster.

No need to get the bus to Clonmel when you could just get the Waterford-Cork bus!

I dont go as far as limerick, get off at clonmel.

Going wexford-waterford-cork on the 40 isn't possible at that time, only option is 1505(travel time 5:40)

so i'd rather go via clonmel for 4:45 travel time and it might even go to CIT without having to change bus in cork.

or I could get the 1720 wex-wat, wait an hour then get the 1930 wat-cork, arriving cork 2145, changing then to #5 to get to CIT

I know the trip is ****ing ****e, all i need to know is whether or not the dublin-cork bus does in fact go to Cork IT

The 40 bus at 7.30 from waterford gets into Cork at 9.45pm I would look for somewhere to have a coffee in Waterford for the hour instead of sitting on the 55 and 7 busses for all that time!

Thats my current thinking, thinkn its just a bug on the route planner.

Its just that if its not a bug it would be less hassle for me to go via clonmel!

It could be that because 40 doesn't serve CIT it isn't being offered to you with the city bus connection.

Bloody hell, get a car! Reminds me of when I was in college: Leitrim to Waterford in only 11.5 hours by train.

What an indictment ton our planners that theoretically you can get a train to Cork from Wexford but IE thought otherwise.

    I give up.
