Might as well start a thread before we all end up drowning in spam in the other one.

Good kick from Cooper, early indication that Ioane will be defending at 10.

Rain might slow Aussies down. Nice slippery ball will calm them down a bit hopefully.

Very nervy start for Australia, nothing going right for them so far.

Did Quade Cooper touch down that grubber in his own try area or did he just slide it out? I'm unsure on whether that'd make a difference but I think it might have meant a 5 metre scrum to Italy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 463 ✭✭circos

    what a waste...

    6 - 0 to Aus, 31 mins gone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,059 ✭✭✭Buceph

In fairness, Clancy has been the best of them so far. Good control of the game without letting it get in the way. Nigel Owens did well as well, letting the game flow and stamping his mark on the game, and of course the ability to keep up with the game, which could have been a problem for a less fit ref. (And Nige doesn't look the fittest.)

Almost like Scotland yesterday, all the space in the world and they run into each other and butcher a try scoring opportunity.

It seems Australia really weren't prepared for Italy's physicality from the get go. I wonder can they organise themselves at half-time

Easy kick to level things up going into half time.

Some good dertermination and play by Italy.

Jesus I'm handing money to PP so far in this tournament.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Italy have been great so far, but I doubt they can keep this level of performance up. Can imagine with them tiring more space will open up and Australia could score a couple of tries.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,619 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Italy winning is obviously very exciting, but it would be handy if Aus just won it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

This is a game going on right here. Italy are not even playing greatly either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 463 ✭✭circos

Ireland and italy to finish top 2, Aus to be knocked out in the pool stages....wonder what the betting on that is...:pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,080 ✭✭✭✭Micky Dolenz

Who really cares who wins, we have the beating of both these teams on any given day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,204 ✭✭✭woodyg

    ITV1 stream here
    http://www.kiwisportz.eu/stream-2.html

i would rather Italy lost this but battered as many of the Australian front row as possible.
would not fancy Ireland against a wounded Australian team!
