    Hi

My brother got a job as a blocklayer and is being paid cash by employer but is also getting a C35 so He is "self employed". He doesn't want to get a big bill from tax man so should he leave all his pink slips together till end of year and send them in to pay tax????

Also will he have to pay much more tax than the 35%????

He will have to file for taxes as self-employed. He will need to have his accounts records to complete the online forms, and make his declarations.
The online system - ROS - will work out what he owes.

If he can survive on the amounts he is collecting, then yes, retain the forms until they need to be filed, however, it might be no harm to submit some now for the purposes of offsetting against preliminary tax.

As for your second question, that depends on his total earnings, he should speak to an accountant to get an accurate idea.
