I reported this car to Dundrum Garda Station following a worrying incident today. The Gardai tell me that the last records on file for this car are more than year old. This is usually a sign that it has been sold on for cash, but the new owner hasn't registered it, for obvious reasons.

If the car happens to belong to your next door neighbour or your kid brother, please contact Dundrum Gardai on +353 1 666 5600. PM me if you want the name of the particular Garda dealing with this.

Not up to the new owner to register it, its up to the old one. Shouldnt that mean that the person the Gardaí have as the registered owner of the car is responsible for it. Or if held so, would come up with a name pretty quickly of who they sold it to?

I've removed the registration number from the thread title and I'm locking this thread. While I appreciate that there may be a genuine reason for you posting this thread, we simply can't have people posting other people's reg numbers and asking posters to report them. That's not what Boards is for.
