Just after noticing a yellow blob on the top left corner of the screen which gets worse as the phone heats up. Of course this happens as the warranty expires :( but wonder can I claim through my insurance?

If your insurance covers accidental damage then you will be able to claim.

Should be covered on the insurance alright. I've paid enough for it so I think I will claim but no phone for a few days even weeks is the only downfall.

Just buy a cheap pay as you go phone to keep you going. I had to claim off fonesure because I lost my iPhone, I bought the samsung europa on three. It's an okay phone, it will do, but it gets very annoying to text off after a while. Best of luck with the claim.
