Decrease in speed and repeated loss of dsl connection

    Recently the speed in my house has decreased by half. It was averaging in excess of 10000kbps ( I'm on the up to 24mb package) but now averages at about 5000kbps. In addition to this, I keep losing Dsl connection at random points in the day. Our phone line was hit by a gas company contractor in the end of june but eircom came out and repaired it. I'm unsure if this has had any effect or not but I felt I should mention it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)
