I have picked up some clearance stuff in Tesco's too.

Coasters 18 cents (pack of 4)
    Oven Glove - 65 cents
Bag Clips 20 cents per pack of about 6 or 8

also saw Tefal fairly large frying pans reduced to €10
a DAB radio reduced from approx €40 to €12
a set of power tools reduced from €160 odd to €60.

I have been in three or four different Tesco stores in the last week and the clearance offers vary by store. Worth taking a good look around, particularly at all yellow deal/reduced shelf prices.

Bought a Rolson multipurpose pocket knife in tesco today , like a swiss army knife, obviously not as good as a swiss army one but was advertised at 3.75eur but scanned at 1.50eur so for 1.50 it was a bargain and well made and handy for putting on your set of keys of leaving in car. About ten different blades//tools on it.

Were those prices marked on the shelves or did you have to scan them? Tesco in mahon point have a power washer reduced to €57, looked quite good.

Only the frying pan and the lego were visibly reduced with shelf markings. The clocks were broadly described as "marked down" in wilton even tho' I saw some people scan clocks at regular price (€30) so it was hit and miss. I bought the sheets and table stuff in Wilton and they were on a shelf that had a sign saying "end of line" in the homewares section. I asked a staffer and he advised me that bigger items were €2/€3 and smaller items were 55¢.

Was planning to head into Wilton this morning, looks like BanzaiBk has got there before me though! Well done on the bargains!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 661 ✭✭✭ncur

In Wilton at 9am, the tefal 32cm frying pan scanned at €31.50, the Rolston knives were gone and the Rolston screwdriver set scanned at €3.75 :( Those were the items I was particularly interested in, obviously can vary from store to store for the mega reductions!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,625 ✭✭✭wmpdd3

There are a few different frying pans, the new ones should be in the kitchen section, the €10 ones should be at the back of the shop with 'end of season sale' banners over them.

The sat navs were reduced in Mahon, I picked up a Binatone B403 for €17. Reviews are ok for it, and its a handy christmas present at that price. There were better branded ones also reduced, they did have a shelf sticker for a garmin one for about €18 but it was out of stock.
