Driving from Airlie Beach to Hervey Bay in about 2 weeks, going to hire a car when I get there. For anyone thats done this before would hiring a sat nav advisable or is it easy enough to find the way? I know its a fairly long journey but we'll stop for an overnight on the way. Any suggestions on where to stop along the way??
Would be grateful for any suggestions

its an easy drive really hunnybunny, straight all the way except for the turn off to the places. we did it in a day and it was very long drive (think about 8/9 hours) but it is manageable with regular breaks.

Along the way, more south actually and closer to Hervey Bay, there are two villages right next to one another called Anges Water and 1770. They're well worth a visit and are a great place for an overnight stay.
