Why do I see more of barack obama on T.v than our own President on t.v.
Does she not doing anything at all.

Nothing important globally or nationally. I'm not sure how many 3 minute news segments featuring a woman shaking hands and saying 'And what do you do' I could take.

Not a knock on her, it's the job.

Mr Obama = very important and very powerful on an international scale

Our bint = not very important or powerful (even on a national scale)

You should compare him more to Enda Kenny. The roles are more similar. Our president is just an ambassador for the country.

    Who's our president, again?

They're two completely different roles. A better comparison would be between the taoiseach and the US president. Although, regardless of the comparison, the US president will always get a lot of air time.

Why we even have a president if she doesn't do anything important.

Ah but she does. She schmoozes foreign dignitaries to keep them all happy. Plus she's a goodwill ambassador. Even if we don't see it it's good PR.

And behind closed doors she hosts fantastically good orgies in Áras an Uactaráin.

Exactamundo... A very well paid ambassador though.

That's why David Norris wanted the job! ;)

Oh most definitely. They're all at it. Mary Robinson was well known in the S&M circles as an absolute bitch of a Dominatrix. The SAW movies were apparently inspired by some of the goings on at her more extreme sex parties.

TBH our last two presidents have been far from thickos .. And while they do not get involved in general politics they have been involved in humanitarian causes. And both were involved heavily in the N.Ireland peach process.

I think its very useful to have a role like that to represent the country, someone not tainted by the general decision making roundabout of normal politics. Someone to represent the moral compass of the country.

    the N.Ireland peach process
    sounds delicious ;)

I agree with you though. I don't know how much they get paid but Mary Robinson did us proud IMO. Only wish she was running again
