Well it's that time of year again lads, the summer and show season are drawing to a close, time to organise a bit of a classic run then. Previous Runs advertised here have always attracted a great selection of interesting cars. There is no affiliation with any Club, so nobody has to be a member of anything.............spread the word !

This year the plan is to meet on Dublin's north keys, near the Point Depot at 10o'c on Sunday 25th September. We'll be leaving there no later than 10.40 and heading out to The Snail Box pub in Co. Meath, via the port tunnel, for a bit of breakfast and some banter.

As usual all are welcome, and variety is the name of the game, so classic cars, bikes, retros, hotrods, kitcars, armored cars what have you!

Our route isn't set in stone yet, but when it is we will let you know. If anyone wants to organise groups from elsewhere in the country, that's great.

Wow a year already cant believe it.. I went along last year and it was a super day and yes a nice selection of cars and really nice group of people.

Pity I will not be able to make the 25th myself, however I would recommend it great to meet up, banter and the cars.

Thank you Mercmad and whom ever else for putting this together each year

    Enjoy

hitting the port tunnell sounds like a good bit of fun with a big bunch of classics. Really hope I can make this.... Not looking good for me though I have the car put away for the winter....

So one of the guys drove various different routes to the Snail Box and reports the following,

"basically the back road option is out, it just takes too long.

We felt the motorway might be a bit boring, so that leaves us with the old Ashborne Road (n2) which as it happens strikes a happy medium imo.

We had a bit of a look at the restraunt as well and it looks great, breakfast costs between 6 and 9 euro, and its got a nice big carpark which will be great for photos.

So to recap, meeting at 10o'c Sunday 25th Sept, departing 10.30 sharp via the port tunnel.

Exit the tunnel and go left onto the M50 southbound, getting off at the Finglas exit onto the old Ashbourne road (N2). We'll continue on this road through Ashborne village to the Snail Box pub, which is on the left 2.5 klm beyond Ashborne (kilmoon cross I think). A word of warning here, the left turn for the pub is sharp and isn't marked all that well, so take it easy once we pass the sign for the Snail Box, the turn is about 0.5km past the sign.

Breakfast finishes at 12oc, after that the lunch menu starts.

All are welcome and I hope lots of you can make it."
