what software used live.....

    I was asked the other day how to run backing tracks and live vocals and thought any software will do that until I was told that they want the vocals to have automated effects throughout each of the 30 songs.

    Mainstage can't automate, logic can cut I can't work out how they can jump from song to song quickly enough in a live situation.

    What other options are there?

    Superior is running too and they are using a multi out situation which is easy I just can't help on the software side? So any ideas guys?

    There's Software Audio Console, never used it though.

    Probably better off with an automated digital desk I reckon. Hook it up to your player.

    Set it up in one logic project, one song after another in the track lanes, with volume/tempo/time sig/plugin automation to turn everything on and off?

    have a look at ableton live.

    things like session view and clip automation make it a great tool for live work.

    Thanks for the input guys, looks like Logic but with markers?!? not ideal but might work for um :)
