Stovax do a great range of cassette and inset stoves in all sizes ranging from small right up to big wide stoves that are more or less the width of the entire fireplace.

I have a Stovax Riva 66 multi fuel inset stove in my house.

Alot of work to fit it,but so well worth it.:)

I got the black Fireguard and fireplace tool set fo 10 euro each,in a sale recently.

For a similar size room I was recommended the Stovax 44, Stanley Cara or cheaper San Remo model, all giving around 4-5KW output.

Here is my set up. It was just under €2000 for Stanley stove, tiles (they are from the Stovax surround range), fitting (that included a camera inspection, cleaning etc.)

Am also in the market for an insert stove for a living room. Well it's a toss up between the Stanley Oisin (stand alone) and an insert stove

Personally I would prefer an insert but the problem is which one to choose? I don't have a massive budget but at the same time I don't want to buy a cheap piece of crap

A local shop has this model. Good price. Looks nice. Imported from China.

But is it any good ?? That's the big question. The Stanley stoves are also being manufactured in China, but they cost over 1000 for the insert model. But are they that much better or are they just charging extra based on their brand name?

Have also been looking at a Henley insert stove. Which seems fine as well.

There's nearly too much choice out there

The Henley stove I'm looking at is the Henley Valentia

It's a 7KW - would this be too powerful? it would be located in a large living room

I think there is definitely a bit of paying a premium for the name. Seems to me the market is flooded with different models from newer companies and it's a bit hard to tell at the moment which one's are pieces of crap and which aren't.

Dimplex also have an insert stove that is pretty affordable and they are well established (though not in the stove market)

Have a look at the Esse 301 5kw or Aarrow Ecoburn 5, a bit more expensive but better finish.Good solid stoves.I opted for the Ecoburn.

OK it's coming down to a choice between the Henley (7KW) and the Boru Croi Beag (4KW)

I like the fact that the Boru are Irish made, but will the 4KW be sufficiently warm?

Anyone else have one of these?

If it's of any use, I bought 2 insert stoves for my house and only used 1, ended up buying another freestanding woodburner with a back boiler for the second room. I'd have to measure size etc but it is still on the pallet and unused.

Hi, looking for some advise. I'm thinking about getting a Stratford EB12 insert stove with the hope it'll heat all my radiators (11 in all) and heat the water also. I'm just putting this comment on here hoping that someone has one installed and maybe can recommend it or maybe someone has one in and hasn't lived up to there expectations. Thanks.
