What do you consider crazy miles on a 2002 diesel?

Surely there are plenty Mondeos, Passats, 406, C5s, Octavias and Rover 75s that fall within your criteria so?

250 miles per week is borderline for requiring a diesel IMO. If you must you could presumably pick up a cheap saab or VW bora/passat to suit your needs (On top of the cars that rover james suggested)!

LOL, I read title wrong - I thought you were looking for any diesel that needed €3.5 of work doing on it........in which case........pick a VAG, any VAG .... !! :D:D

joke, btw.......no VAG's were harmed in the making of this post....:p

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Looks alright. Probably will need a clutch and flywheel kit (€700-€800) done sooner rather than later. There's no end to cars that fit your budget OP.

Rover 75D, (I'm biased) if it has'nt had a complete replacement clutch factor in €900.

250 miles a week is 13,000 miles a year. That is average mileage for a petrol car not diesel. Your €3500 would go alot further on buying a petrol car over a diesel one.
